2013 RMLL Planning Meeting and AGM Dates: Friday November 1 to Sunday November 3, 2013 Location: Delta Edmonton South
Presidents' Message
I would like to thank all the members who took time out of their personal lives to attend the 2012 AGM. A lot of new and exciting ideas were presented. I would like to now introduce everyone to two new members of the executive.
Tracey Haining is the new tier 3 commissioner. Tracey was previously previously held the position of CDLA president. We look forward to Tracey's minor lacrosse background in helping us continue strengthen the relationship we have with the minor lacrosse clubs in Calgary as well as to continue the great work that Linda Robertson accomplished as Tier 3 commissioner.
Greg Hart is our new Commissioner of Development. This new executive position will assist development of officials, coaches and players for major lacrosse in Alberta. Greg's experience in the ALRA as well player development will be a great asset to the RMLL now and into the future.
I would be remiss if I didn't take a minute to recognize two valuable members of the RMLL who received awards at the ALA AGM.
Christine Thielen, our executive Director, was awarded the James McFall award. Christine's dedication and long hours have gone a long way in making the RMLL the smooth running organization it is.
Duane Bratt, our Vice President, received the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee medal at this years ALA AGM. This award recognizes Duane's outstanding work at the CLA level. We are grateful to have such a committed and well respected individual on our executive.
In closing I would like to thank all members of the RMLL for their volunteer time. No matter what level you are giving of your time it is appreciated and the RMLL would not survive without your help.
